A Note from Eric and Mandy...
Hiâweâre Eric and Mandy, and weâve been on just about every âdiet rollercoasterâ you can imagine. Between us, weâve tried it all:\
Weight Watchers, Noom, Whole30, intermittent fasting, calorie countingâŚyou name it. And while some of those worked in the short term, none of them were sustainable. They were too restrictive, too complicated, or just plain joyless.Â
Ericâs a chef with a passion for fresh, sustainable food, and Mandyâs a marathon runner and nutrition enthusiast. Together, weâve learnedâthrough years of trial and errorâthat the secret isnât another plan, app, or quick fix.Â
Itâs building habits you actually enjoy and can stick with long term.â
Thatâs what this space is about. Not rules. Not âperfect eating.â Not cutting out joy. Just real, everyday strategies to help you eat well, feel good, and live the life you want.Â
So instead of chasing another quick fix, we decided to rethink everything. Over the past several years, weâve slowly built healthier habitsâlayer by layerâthat have helped us lose weight, keep it off, improve our energy, and actually enjoy food again.Â
We crave real, nourishing meals now (though yes, we still indulge). These changes have become part of who we areânot a diet to follow, but a lifestyle we live.Â
And thatâs what we want to share with you.
Â
Why Journeys, Not Diets?
We call them Journeys because thatâs exactly what this is: a path, not a program. You wonât lose 10 pounds in a week. This isnât a 30-day challenge. And weâre not going to ask you to count calories, points, or macros.Â
Instead, youâll move through 8 Journeysâeach focused on one change you can make to eat better, feel better, and strengthen your relationship with food. Youâll take your time, practicing each new habit until it feels natural before moving on to the next. For some, that may mean two weeks. For others, two months or more. Thereâs no rush.Â
The goal is to help you master habits that lastânot another diet youâll quit when life gets hard.
What to Expect
Each Journey will explain what the change is and why it mattersâand then walk you through the following sections:Â
â What to Add â We start with the good stuff. What new foods, habits, or practices can you bring into your life?
đ What to Reduce or Eliminate â Where can we lighten the load and cut back on what doesnât serve your health?
đł Recipe Inspirations â Quick, flexible ideas for building meals. (No full recipesâbecause there are a million recipe blogs already. Weâre here to help you learn how to âfish,â not just hand you a fish.)
đ§ Education + Mindset â Why this change matters, how it affects your body, and how to tune into your own signals.
đŤ No Excuses â Weâll tackle the most common reasons people give for not making a changeâlike âI donât have time,â âIâm not a good cook,â or âhealthy food is too expensiveââand help you find simple, realistic ways around them.
đ¤ď¸ Bounce-Back Messaging â Because setbacks will happen. Youâll âmess up.â Thatâs life. Weâll help you learn how to âbe a goldfishâ and move on.
đ°ď¸ Take Your Time Reminder â This isnât about a goal weight or deadline. Itâs about progress at your own pace.

The Big Picture
âBy the end of these Journeys, youâll:
- Know how to build meals that nourish you (without relying on a plan or app).
- Trust yourself to make food decisions that support your goals.
- Crave whole foods more often than processed ones.
- Have a healthier relationship with food and your bodyâwithout all the stress and guilt.
This isnât about a quick fix. Itâs about changing how you eat, one habit at a time, until itâs just part of who you are.Â
